Mrs. Henry Stowers
Mrs. Henry Stowers, 82, the former Ettie Whitten, of Griffithsville Lincoln County, died Thursday at the home of a son, Spurge Stowers, after a short illness.
Survivors, six other sons, Hillard of Alcoa, Whitfield and Scott, both of Griffithsville, Denny and Asthy, both of Yawkey, and Hurl of Clothier; one daughter, Mrs. Sadie Dingess of Griffithsville, two brothers, Charles Whitten of Griffithsville and Joe Whitten of Hamlin, 31 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Sand Fork Baptist church. Burial, directed by Koontz Mortuary of Hamlin, will be in the church cemetery.
