Francis Marion Coryell was born in Chemung County,NY,May 3,1829 and died at his home near Brewersville,Mar. 12,1907, at the age of 77y-10m-9d. He was the youngest son of Michael and Fanny Coryell and was of German descent.

When he was ten years old in 1830,he was brought to Indiana with his parents and they settled one mile east of Vernon. Here he grew to manhood on the old home farm and his education in the schools of Vernon.

He was married to Nancy Spear on Oct. 16,1851. The following spring in 1852 they settled on their farm one mile west of Brewersville,where they continued to live until they bought the Rich farm on the west of their other farm and they moved in the brick house in the spring of 1866 and continued to live there until they sold it last year. Hence they lived on the same ground 55 years.

They raised the following named children:Orren Eastman, Alonzo Burr,Emma,John Allen,William Abner,Aurelia Frances, Ida Elizabeth and Micheal Henry.

Ida died some years ago,but the others are all living,all of whom are here today with the widowed mother. They have 42 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren(3 of whom are dead).

Frank joined the Methodist Church in early youth and lived a comsistant christian life all the way through,on the 16th of Oct. 1901,they celebrated their golden wedding. A large crowd of friends and well-wishers gathered at their beautiful home to congraduate them on their good fortune in being permitted to walk side by side so longon the journey of life two persons were prescent who were at the original wedding fifty years ago.

Frank is no more on earth...
