Mrs. Mary L. Lukens, wife of Mr. S.S. Lukens, died at her residence in Rock Falls Saturday evening. Mrs. Lukens last illness was of but brief duration, although she had been a sufferer more or less for years from a tumor. She was a most estimable lady and had a large circle of acquaintances and friends who will mourn her loss.
She was forty years old last February, and leaves three children, the youngest eight years old. Mrs. Lukens was the daughter of Mr. D.B. and Mrs. Sarah M. Worthington, and a sister of Mrs. C.C. Johnson and Mrs. A.A. Norwood.
The funeral services took place in the M.E. Church, Rock Falls, this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. A.H. Miller assisted by Rev.J.C. Stoughton, officiating.
