daughter of Joseph DeLyde Noe and Talitha Louise Hodge;

born in that part of Grainger County Tennessee that became Hamblem County. This is why some records indicate that she was born in Hamblen County;

married Nicholas N. Cox (her 1st cousin, once removed) on 4 Jan 1877 in Hamblen County at age 14 just 1 week before her 15th birthday.

mother of Lucy, Bessie, Frank, Pearl, Claude, Robert, Dana, Mary, Euniece, George, and Grace.

NOTE: There is a second Julia Rebecca Noe that was born in 1861 and who also lived in Grainger/Hamblen Counties that some Cox/Noe researchers confuse with this one. The "other" Julia Rebecca is a 1st cousin to "this" Julia Rebecca. The other Julia Rebecca is the daughter of Louisa Noe and cousin John Napper Noe. Louisa was the sister of Joseph DeLyde Noe. "This" Julia Rebecca's death certificate confirms her parentage and husband's identity.
