Robert N. "Bob" Barrington, 74, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Landrum Medlock and the Rev. Bob Philley, both of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Barrington was a lifelong resident of Amarillo and a 1948 graduate of Amarillo High School. He married Geraldine Brannan on Aug. 1, 1948, at Amarillo. He owned and operated Barrington Glass Co. from 1958 until his retirement in 1989. After his retirement he became active in remodeling homes and designing and installing leaded and beveled glass.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home. In 1999, they traveled to Hawaii where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have also made trips to South America, Bogot Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil and Mexico.

At the time of his death he was building a pontoon boat and was planning to float down the Arkansas River.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dianne Vincent of Amarillo and Becky O'Connor and husband, Terrence P., of Borden, Ind.; two sons, Larry Barrington and David Barrington and wife, Sandra, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Ira Nae Woods of Illinois and Mahdeene DeBord and husband, Connie, of Hedley; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
