John Calhoun Leftwich, 81, of New London, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Staunton. He was born in Pittsylvania County. His widow, Ardelia Frances Leftwich, of New London, survives him and also the following children: R.M. Leftwich of Detroit, G.L. Leftwich of Lexington, KY; E.N. Leftwich of Lynchburg; E.L. Leftwich and J.F. Leftwich, both of New London and Mrs. C.W. Mitchell of Route 4, Lynchburg; Mrs. W.W. St. John of Gilliam, WV; and Mrs. G.C. Scott of Roanoke.
