Betty Jean Harrell Nix
Celeste, Texas -- Funeral services for Betty Jean Harrell Nix, 77-year-old Celeste resident, are scheduled for Monday, May 24 at 10 A.M. at the Celeste Church of Christ. Paul Dan Jones will officiate.
Burial will be in the Celeste/Hogeye Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Mrs. Nix was born August 1, 1932 at Celeste, Texas. Her parents were William Wright and Faye Barnett Harrell. She was a high school graduate, a member of the Celeste Church of Christ and a retired bank teller from the First Bank of Celeste.
She married Robert E. "Bob" Nix September 15, 1951 at Greenville, Texas.
She passed away at her residence Thursday, May 20.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Nix of Celeste; her son & daughter-in-law: Bobby & Kay Nix of Searcy, Arkansas; her daughter & son-in-law: Brenda & Jeff Smith of Houston; her sister: Dorothy Miller of Keller; her sister and brother-in-law: Shirley & Ronald Lipsey of Garland. She is also survived by her three grandsons: Ryan Nix and his wife Joanna, Keith Nix & Kevin Nix and her great grandson: Travis Nix.
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
