Ava Sutherland Baker of Drasco, AR

Early Thursday morning, July 20, 2006 she took her flight to a place where "they shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore. .. .. .for the Lamb, in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes ".

She was born to Benjamin B. and Edith Norton Sutherland March 29, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Baker, her parents, two sisters, Regina Graham, Dovey Swanger and her brother Tanner Sutherland. She was a member of Macedonia General Baptist Church for 67 years.

As a child, she began a lifetime hobby of oil painting, and she wrote wonderful poems. God blessed her with an incredible memory that provided the theme for so many of her beautiful paintings. She deeply loved her

friends and felt their joys and sorrows as if they were her own. Painting created a visible expression of their memories.

Survivors include her sister-in-law Geneva Sutherland, her two daughters, Meredith Evans and husband Elden of Drasco, Jan Borel and husband Doug of Conway. Grandchildren are Ben Evans and Jeanie, Greg Evans and Teresa, Leah Clark and Mark Borel. Great grandchildren are Carmen Deal and Bryan, Cerissa Grammer and Jeremy, Jennifer Kuhn and Chase, Olivia Kuhn and Brandon, Daniel Bennett, Rebecca Evans, Nathan Evans and Charlie Clark. Great Great grandchildren are Mason Grammer, Matthew Grammer, Mark Grammer, Jake Evans, Justin Deal and Kaitlyn Deal, her two Nieces, one Nephew and her long time devoted friends, The Bob West family.
