Olivia Elizabeth (Lamplaugh) Snyder, 95, former North Platte (Nebraska) resident, died July 18, 2001 at her home in Omaha (Nebraska). She was born July 4, 1906 to Harry and Sarah Lamplaugh at North Platte, where she attended school and graduated from North Platte High School in 1926. She worked four years at the North Platte Telegraph prior to her marriage to Austen (Austin) R. Snyder on July 19, 1930. They moved to Omaha in 1953 where they had resided since. The couple had been married 36 years when her husband preceded her in death June 6, 1966. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Mrs. Gerald) Moleton of Boulder City, Nevada, a son, Robert A. of Omaha (Nebraska); two sisters, Lucille Percy of North Platte and Inez Bithell of Phoenix (Arizona); a brother Edward Lamplaugh of North Platte, four granddaughters, Shelley Garrett, Gwen Skidmore, Cynthia Lomprey and Leslie Moleton; 14 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. A memorial has been established to the Omaha Volunteers for Crippled Children Scholarship Fund or to the Omaha Methodist Hospital Hospice.
