John H. Lamplugh, 75, of Bend, Ore., died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1902, in North Platte. He was raised in North Platte and went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad as a switchman.
He had been active in Eagles and Elks Lodges.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn; a daughter; Joan Anderson of North Platte; four sisters, Frances Byers and Lucille Percey, both of North Platte, Olivia Snyder of Omaha and Inez Bithell of Mesa, Ariz,; two brothers, Isaac of North Platte and Edward of Pocatella, Idaho; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His mother, Sarah Lamplugh of North Platte, died last month in North Platte,
Rosary will be tonight at 8 p.m. at the Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel in Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend. Father James Harrington well be celebrant. Burial will be in Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
