CHARLES CITY

Bertha (Mrs. John) Kraft, 89, of 1407 Clark St., died Monday
(Sept. 4, 1995) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. at St. John Evangelical
Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag officiating. Burial
will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hauser Funeral
Home, 1205 S. Main St., and one hour prior to services at the
church.

Bertha Hermina Janssen Kraft was born Dec. 23, 1905, near Benson,
Ill.

Survivors include four sons, Marvin Kraft of Waverly; Richard Kraft
of Clarksville; John "Merlin" Kraft of Dixon, Mo., and Kenneth Kraft
of Ionia; three daughters, Helen Knapp of Charles City, Beverly Winkie
of Belle Plaine and Shirley Day of Ionia; two sisters,
Jennie Bouillion of Ionia and Ida McNealy of Hampton;
30 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son,
one daughter, three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two
brothers and four sisters.
