FORT MYERS NEWS-PRESS, March 31, 1942 - Paul H. Shepard, 81, long-time Lee County resident, died yesterday at the home of his son, Hugh M. Shepard, at the Floweree grove in Alva. Mr. Shepard came to Lee Count in 1904 and has lived in florida ever since. He was survived by his daughter, Mrs. Bessie S. Taylor of Immokalee; sons, Hugh of Alva, Lislel H. of Longwood, FL and J. A. Shepard of Ft. Lauderdale; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Drake of Fullerton, CA; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services at Fort Denaud Cemetery with Rev. J. D. Reavis officiating. Arrangements by Lawrence A. Powell.
