William Henry Ames, 80, died May 16, 2010, at his home in Huntsville. He was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Eureka Springs to Walter "Jack" and Allie Scates Ames.

He was a truck driver and attended Roadside Mission Assembly of God Church in Forum.

Survivors include four daughters, Kathy Smith of Sand Springs, Okla., Brenda Lance, of Park Hill, Okla., Rebecca Henderson and husband Dusty of Ada, Okla., and Renee Tedford and husband Steve of Greenwood; three brothers, Jimmy Ames of Rogers, and Walter Ames and Richard Ames, both of Huntsville; three sisters, Betty Faust of Fayetteville, and Mary Crow and Patricia Seigal, both of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son Steven Loy Allen 4/9/55 to 9/2/75

Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20 at Brashears funeral home in Huntsville.
Burial was in Marshall Cemetery at Forum.
