Jimmy Ray Ames, 76, of Rogers, Arkansas, died October 2, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born January 25, 1939 at Jay, Oklahoma, the son of Walter Elwin "Jack" and Allie Geneva Scates Ames. He was a retired machinist for TRW/Kendall Metal in Rogers, a Christian and enjoyed being in the outdoors and training mules. He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Ames.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Mitzi Ames of Inola, Oklahoma and David and Rhonda Ames of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Sharon Ames of Forum, Arkansas and Richard and Brenda Ames of Huntsville, Arkansas; three sisters, Mary Jane Crow and Patricia Seigal, both of Forum, Arkansas and Bette Faust of ; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, October 6, at the Marshall Cemetery at Forum with The Reverend C. H. Doss officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas.
