BLACKFOOT - Cecil F. Wright, 79, formerly of Blackfoot, died Friday at the home of his granddaughter, Anne Forsnes, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was returning from a trip to Brazil.
Mr. Wright was born May 9, 1898 in Whitney, Idaho to Joseph Smith Wright, Sr. and Verna Foster Wright. The family moved to Blackfoot when he was a boy. He lived in Blackfoot until 1962 when he moved to Idaho Falls.
He married Anna Podlatis, November 24, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in 1958.
Mr. Wright was a high priest in the LDS Church and served in many positions in the church. His main interest the last few years had been his family. He loved to see his grandchildren perform in various musical talents.
He is survived by three sons and three daughters, F. Eugene Wright of Kennewick, Washington, Harold K. Wright of Pasco, Washington, Mrs. Roger E. Sterling (Elaine) Madsen of Blackfoot, Mrs. Ross (Norma) Jensen of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Mrs. Boyd (Lucille) Benson of Moreland; 26 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was the last of 10 children.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Third, Fifth, and Tenth Wards LDS Church. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
