Mrs. Marie Ellison Abernathy, age 71 of Ola, Arkansas died Monday, August 8, 1988 at the St. Vincent Infirmary Hospital in Little Rock. She was a native of Birta, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John D. and Sarah Crowder Ellison and the widow of the late Virgil Abernathy, a homemaker and a mother.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Abernathy and Nathan Abernathy both of Birta; one daughter, Carolyn Mitchell of Little Rock; one sister, Emma Lou Storment of Ola; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Danville with Elder Luther Riddle officiating. Interment was in Birta Cemetery in Birta.
