Sophia Goodson married Zachary Taylor Lang on 24 January 1875 in Davis co., Iowa. They were the parents of Willie, Marion, Della, Julia, Flora, Charley, and Sarah Paralee Lang.

SOPHIA GOODSON LANG
Sophia Goodson, youngest child of Adam and Sarah Goodson, was born in Henry county, Iowa July 18, 1852.
On January 24, 1875 she was united in marriage to Taylor Lang, who departed this life October 9, 1917. To this union were born seven children, Marion, at home; Mrs. Julia Barker, of Troy; Mrs. Flora Grant, Scott city, Kansas; Charlie, of Floris, Iowa; Mrs. Paralee Shoopman of Ottumwa; Della and Willie deceased. She also leaves to mourn her untimely death five grandchildren, Maurice and Olive Grant, Harold and Helen Shoopman, Lucile Lang. Lorene proceded her in death.
At an early age she was united with the Methodist Episcaple Church at Chequest, Iowa.
After a lingering illness of several weeks, she left us for her better home, on November 30, 1930, age 78 years, 5 months, and 22 days. The last few days were spent in much suffering. She was a devoted wife and kind and loving mother who will be sadly missed in the years that are to be.

Funeral at the home, 1 o'clock, December 2, by Rev. Stookesberry. Interrment in the Rouch cemetery.
