Services were held at the Wagler Funeral Home Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Julia Lang Barker, 74, who died at the Davis County Hospital early Friday. The services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Eastman, with burial in the Rouch cemetery.
Mrs. Barker had been hospitalized for several weeks due to a heart ailment.
Born in Floris she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Lang and in 1924 married John Barker, who survives. Other survivors include two stepchildren, Harley Barker who resides north of Bloomfield, and Mrs. Isabelle Boatman a member of the Bloomfield Elementary teaching staff; five step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Shoopman of Ottumwa and Mrs. N.A. Grant of Wichita, Kansas, and one brother Charlie Lang of Floris. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lorene, and a brother, Marion Lang.
Mrs. Barker was a member of the Troy Methodist Church.
