THELMA BOLLINGER


Thelma Pridy Bollinger, 99, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Capetown Assisted Living.

She was born July 5, 1910, in Glenallen, Mo., daughter of Thomas and Alice Wuench Pridy. She and Clark Bollinger were married Dec. 17, 1933, in Fredericktown, Mo. He died March 5, 1984.

The Bollingers moved to Cape Girardeau in 1943 from Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was a member of First Baptist Church for several years and was currently a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.

Thelma taught school in Bollinger County and then worked at Buckner Ragsdale several years.

Survivors include a son, Don (Bonnie) Bollinger of Seattle; a daughter, Joan (Bob) Etherton of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Deborah Etherton of Cape Girardeau, Rob (Kim) Etherton of Jackson, Jeff (Julie) Bollinger of Moscow, Idaho; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and three half sisters.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Lynwood Baptist Church.
