Almer Richards, 82, Of Jamestown passed away Friday at his residence. He was a retired teacher and farmer and a member of the Welfare Baptist Church in Jamestown.
He is survived by his wife, June (Williams) Richards, one son, Stephen Richards of Lexington and one grandson, Elliott Richards also of Lexington.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Amanda (Dunbar) Richards and father, Welby Richards.
Pallbearers were: Elliott Richards, David Aaron, Brett Aaron, Brady Wilson, Stony Lawless and Kevin Withers.
Funeral services were Monday at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown with Bro. Randy Smith officiating.
Interment was in the Ridgecrest Cemetery.
