Born April 29, 1933 in Russell County, Kentucky, he was the son of Wibey and Amanda Rickroach Richards.
He was an electronic technician at NWSC Crane, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Southern Baptist faith. He served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lee Hunt Richards; one son, Greg Richards of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, four daughters, Patricia Richards, Teresa Wilson, Laura Lawlas and Jane Weathers all of Jamestown, Kentucky; one brother, Almer Richards of Jamestown, Kentucky; one granddaughter and two adopted grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Avery Richards and one stepson, Harold Hunt.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Jenkins Funeral Home with the Revs. Edwin Rod and Robert Lorimer officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
