He married Mona Vanelle Thornton on Saturday, September 26, 1936. He was an automobile mechanic and was well known for his trade. He lived his whole life in Irwin and Ben Hill Counties. John passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 1962 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia. John David Roberts was my father.
