Anna was the first child of her family to be born in American. Her older brother John, was born in Germany and came to Minnesota with his parents at age one. They departed Germany from Bremen, Germany to The Battery in New York City Harbor and the family proceed directly to Winsted, Minnesota.

Anna was killed by a falling tree.
Anna's mother Rosalia and Anna were working in their garden, a rapid rain storm with lighting entered their area and lighting struck a near by large Oak tree. The tree fell and Anna was killed.
