LUTISHIA (KENNER) DELONEY

Lutishia Kenner, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Kenner, was born Jan. 18, 1844 at Richwood and died at the home of her son in Desloge, June 24, 1928. Age 84 years, 5 months and 6 days. Funeral services of Requiem High Mass were conducted by Rev. Fr. Cunningham at the Desloge Catholic church, Tuesday, June 26, 1928 at 11 o'clock. Interment was made in the family cemetery at Mitchell.

She was reared in this community, the old Kenner home being where the Elvins chat pile is now. She was baptized in infancy to the Catholic faith and remained true to her faith until death. She was married more than sixty years ago to Mr. Deloney who preceded his wife in death eighteen years ago. Eleven children were born to this union, four of whom survive: Frank of Desloge, Ed. of Grove, Okla., Jess of Granite City, Ill., and Mrs. Pierce Hutchings of Desloge; and one sister, Mrs. Julia Bowen, of Holland, Texas. The News extends sympathy to those bereaved.
