A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Henry Sr. and Betty Louise Turner Dycus. Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist Faith and she was employed with the ABC store on Warren Street.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Leo Brown, and a niece Tonya Lynn Dycus.
She is survived by two sons, William Leo Brown and Timothy Turner Brown, both of Shelby; two brothers, Joe Dycus and wife, Carolyn, of Shelby, and Larry Dycus of Caroleen; three grandchildren, William Leo Brown III, Brandon Michael Brown, and Calen Nichole Brown; and very special friend Bob Bodwell Sr., of Shelby.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Friday, May 14, 7 to 9 p.m., Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
