Former Birdsboro Yardmaster Dies .
Birdsboro April 27 - George H Squibb, 76, this place, a former yardmaster here for the Reading Co, died today in the Community General Hospital in Reading.
The native of this borough retired from the railroad in 1945 after 41 years and 6 months of service. At the time of his retirement he was a clerk telegrapher at Coatesville, but he had served as yard master in Birdsboro around 1922.
Squibb, whose wife was the former Sarah White who died in 1939[sic 1/18/1940], was the son of the late John and Jane (McGowan) Squibb.
He was a member of the POS of A, Railroad Trainmen, Masonic Lodge 479 of this borough, Neversink Lodge 514, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
He is survived by a niece and nephew.
Funeral services will be held in the Mohr Funeral Home here Monday at 2pm., the Rev. Harry F. Darley, officiating. Burial will be made in St Michael's cemetery.
