Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Monday, April 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. for longtime area resident, Jesslyn Bartholomew who passed away in Bakersfield on April 5, 2005 at the age of 97.

Born to Jacob J. and Anna Belle Perry in Bakersfield on January 1, 1908. She moved with her family to Maricopa as a child where she attended school and graduated in 1926.

In 1926, she married her husband, Harry, and moved to Taft where they raised their sons and lived there all their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, her brothers, Maurice Perry, Robert Perry, Clarence Perry and her sister, Leona Mock. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, her grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Jesslyn was a lifetime member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West and many other clubs and organizations. She had many hobbies and loved to play cards and travel.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
