OBITUARY: Parkston Advance Thursday, Jun 1, 1933 " ______hardly believe at press time(?) Friday afternoon when it became known that Mrs. T. A. Schleissmann had quietly and peacefully passed from this life in a hospital in Wagner, where she had been taken the day before and where she was apparently recuperating nicely. Friday morning she desired some knitting or sewing in order to keep busy. Saturday and Sunday many friends from neighboring towns and from Tripp and vicinity visited the home to pay their last respects. Funeral services were held Monday morning from the Holy Rosary church conducted by Rev. Father Cunniff, and interments made in the Catholic cemetery south of Tripp. Thus another pioneer as been laid beneath the prairies they have learned to love. The church was far too small to accommodate the vast number of people who came. The floral offerings were many and very beautiful."
