Mrs. George Sills of Palmyra passed away this morning at about 9 o'clock, death resulting from heart failure, after an illness of about two weeks. Mrs. Sills was the second white child and the first white girl born in Palmyra township, and was about 78 years of age.
Caroline Adelia Coe was born August 20, 1837, and died Jan. 5, 1916. She was the daughter of Fred W. and Phoebe Coe and was born in Palmyra township, living her entire life where she was so well esteemed. She was married to George B. Sills March 2, 1863. Beside her husband, three children, Mrs. A.R. Beede, Fred C. and Frank J. Sills, all of Palmyra, and a brother, Frank M. Coe of Dixon, survive.
Funeral services will be held at the late residence Friday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in Palmyra cemetery.
