CATHERINE H. CORNETTE

BLACK MOUNTAIN - Catherine Harrison Cornette, 76, formerly of Mars Hill, died May 3, 1996, at a local area health facility.
She was a native of Catawba County, and a daughter of the late William and Ida Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Helton; her second husband, J.T. Cornette; and three stepsons.
Survivors include three sons, Howard Helton and Gary Helton of Hickory and Carroll Helton of Florida; two daughters, Barbara LaPlante of Swannanoa and Martha Canter of Todd; two stepdaughters, Sadie Davis of Conover and Catherine Rowe of Hickory; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Frank Cantrell at 2 p.m. Monday at Brigman's Valley Funeral Service in Black Mountain.
Burial will be in the Radford Cemetery in Mars Hill.
The family will be at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
