Eleanor J. Zinsser , 67, of Winchester Drive, South Kingstown, an artist, sculptor and wood carver, died Thursday at home. She was the wife of the late Roderick D. Zinsser .
Born in New York, N.Y., a daughter of Eleanor B. (Roundtree) Barrett of South Kingstown and the late Harold B. Barrett, she summered at White Pond until she moved to South Kingstown in 1969.
Mrs. Zinsser was a volunteer for FISH, served on the Citizens Advisory Committee and was an avid gardener.
Besides her mother, she leaves two daughters, Andria Cook in Florida and Alicia Favali of South Kingstown; a son, Roderick D. Zinsser Jr., a sister, Cynthia Barrett, and a companion, John Sheldon, all of South Kingstown; and six granchildren. She was the mother of the late Carroll B. Powers and Dinah L. Zinsser .
The funeral and burial were private.
