Philip Lewis Hedrick died Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Hospital. He had suffered a stroke Sunday morning at his home, 2335 Lindsey Drive. He was 60.
He was a native of Webb City, Mo. He served 30 years in the Army, retiring in 1957 as a chief warrant officer. Since then he has been a deputy tax commissioner for Jefferson County.
Survivors include his widow, the former Evelyn Howell; two daughters, Mrs. Delores Ball, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs Phyllis Utnage, of Des Moines, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the W. G. Hardy Shively Chapel, 4101 Dixie Highway. Burial will be in Ft. Knox Cemetery.
