Rites for Mrs. Nannie Walling
Mrs. Nannie Walling, 75, died after an illness in her home in Elkhart Sunday at 7 a.m. Mrs. Walling was born in Anderson County, Feb. 2, 1878.
Funeral services were held today at 3 p.m. in Hassell & Foster Chapel with Milton Henry and Glen Lowe officiating. Burial was in the Pilgrim Cemetery, near Elkhart.
Pallbearers were the following nephews, Kelly Woodard, Joe Bailey Parker, Jack Parker, Roy Parker, Elbert Bennett, Roger Lee Bennett, Walter Davis and Marvin Brown.
Survivors are her husband, Louis Walling of Elkhart; one son, John Walling of Tomball; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Gardner and Mrs. Myrtle Foley, both of Elkhart; one brother, Ben J. Parker of Elkhart; two sisters, Mrs. Irena Bennett of Elkhart, Mrs Laura Woodard of Houston; and five grandchildren.
Nannie was a daughter of John and Lucinda Rosson Parker.
She was the granddaughter of Dickerson and Lucinda Eaton Parker. Great-granddaughter of Elder John and Sarah/Sally White Parker
She married Louis Walker Walling on Dec. 4, 1900 in Anderson Co, Texas. They had the following children;
