Ruby Bennett Potts, 81, of Zion, Illinois died October 28, 1994 at the Washington Manor Nursing Home in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
She was born June 4, 1913 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She and her first husband L.C. (Bill) Bennett, purchased a farm on Delaney Road, West of Zion in 1939 which they worked together for many years. She loved ceramics and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Potts; 5 children, Robert (Mae) Bennett of Winthrop Harbor, Butch (Mona) Bennett and Barbara (Gerald) Litewski, both of Zion, Ed (Ellen) Potts of Kenosha and Don (Alice) Boyce of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren adn great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Mae (Ted) Bennett of Zion. She was preceded in death by her first husband, L.C. (Bill) Bennett of Zion; 2 grandchildren, Dawn Marie Bennett and Alex Potts; a brother, Eugene Marsh; and 3 sisters, Mildred Flouke, Grace Marsh and Evelyn Marsh.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 1994 at 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Chaplain Willis E. Mayfield officiating. Friends may call at the Congdon Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Monday until time of services. Interment will be private at Oakdale Cemetery, Newport Township. Memorials to the Newport Fire and Rescue Department would be appreciated in her memory.
