Samuel Grubb was a Bradford, Pennsylvania, mason who was responsible for many of the large structures used by the Grubb family in their various enterprises. Samuel became a Quaker at Concord Meeting in 1732, and was an overseer of Birmingham Meeting between 1749 and 1756. He contributed fifty pounds toward the construction of that building which is still in use today. He married Mary Bellarby, a widow, in 1745 and adopted her daughter Hannah. While apparently not provable, it is highly likely Samuel is buried here.
