He grew up at Lake Vermilion, and graduated from the Cook High School. He moved to St. Paul, where he was employed for the state of Minnesota. He moved back to the Cook area during the 1960's. He enjoyed listening and playing music. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 84th Infantry Division and in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life member of the 84th Infantry Division Railsplitters Society.
Andrew is survived by his brother, Axel G. Falk; sisters: Mary Trucano and Elsie Nelson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Emma C. Duame.
