ARCH HARRISON

Archie Joseph Harrison, 64, only son of Joseph D. and Alma B. Wilson was born on a farm near Lebanon, April 8, 1891 and departed this life, at 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 1955 at the Van Buren County Memorial hospital in Keosauqua, after having entered a few hours before. He had been in poor health for a number of years and seriously ill for three weeks.

He spent his entire life in the Lebanon community with the exception of two years in Wenatchee, Wash., when a child and two years with the Burlington railroad as a young man. He attended the Cantril schools and became a member of the Lebanon Methodist church at an early age. He lived for 33 years on the present farm, which was his last home.

On Oct. 28, 1914, he was united in marriage to Doris I. Smith of the Lebanon vicinity. To this union, one daughter, Lorraine, was born, now Mrs. Paul Megrath of the Lebanon community.

Surviving are his widow, daughter and one granddaughter, Duana Megrath.

The funeral was held Thursday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon Methodist church. The Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial was in the Lebanon cemetery.
