Carole was born to Frances and Flynn Chandler of Atlanta, Ga. She was their second and last planned member of their family. She was a very loving and intelligent child with a slight weight problem. In her short life she contracted an illness that left her requiring pencillin tablets until she was 15. Unfortunately, in April, 1961 she went with a friend to Campbellton Plaza shopping center where she was killed in a fall from an Octopus ride. The attendant had been talking with his girlfriend according to eye witnesses and evidently had failed to get her properly buckled in. This was a heart breaking experience for her family. She will always be that sweet cute nine year old girl with so much potential to us.
