Funeral services for Clyde J. Durham, 68, of Gulfport were held from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30 with Rev. Robert Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant.
Mr. Durham, a retired merchant and a member of Durant First Baptist Church, died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Biloxi on Saturday, December 27. He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Durham is survived by his mother, Mrs. Floyd J. Durham of Durant and one brother – Walter Durham, Jr. of Durant.
Pallbearers were Miles Ray, C.H. Blanton, Jr., James Holeman, Joe Lewis, William H. Hathcock, and Bobbie Irby.
Honorary pallbearers were Frank Drake, James Burrell, Carlton Aldridge, Robert Ray, Calvin King, Charlie Hutchinson, Audis Hathcock, Buddie Hathcock, Martin Frazure, Sonny Potts, Bill Cox, Bennie Killebrew, Charlie Irby, Billie Irby, C.S. Hill, and Louie Clements.
