Sarah Kennedy was the daughter of Alexander Kennedy (the elder) & Sybbel (Cannon)Kennedy. She was born in Washington Co., NY., probably in Argyle or Greenwich. She married William Marsh. They were living in Greenwich in 1850, both aged 53. They had no children.
They moved to Whiteside Co., Illinois where they resided. Her brother Alexander Kennedy and his family lived in the area.
William died sometime before 1880, when Sarah was listed as aged 83, living in the home of her niece, Eliza(Robertson) Heaton.
William & Sarah both were listed as being buried in Heaton Cemetery, but by 1981 the location & stones had been lost.
