SCRANTON - Mrs. Fannie Matthews Miles, 46, wife of Ernest Miles of Rt. 1, Scranton, died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Florence hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Beulah Free Will Baptist Church near Scranton conducted by Rev. Joe Coward and Rev. Jimmy Deas. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Grimsley Jr., Woodrow Matthews, Dessie Springs, Carlander Coward, Rally Wilkes and Leon Martin.
Mrs. Miles was a daughter of the late Pleasant and Isabelle Lee Matthews of Scranton where she was born and lived all her life.
She was a member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving, besides her widower, are two daughters, Evelyn Miles and Frances Miles of the home; two sons, Robert Miles of the home and Howard Miles of Florence, a brother, Daniel Matthews of Scranton; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Wilkes, Mrs. Mary Coward, and Mrs. Becky Poston, all of Scranton, and Mrs. Mary Miles of Coward; and three grandchildren.
The body will be at the home of Daniel Matthews near Scranton.
