Obituary for Louis Kerr

Louis Cook 'Fatback' Kerr, 72, of Charlotte died Thursday, February 17, 2000 at his residence. Funeral is 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 21, Charlotte Chapel, with the Reverend Charles Wilson, ll officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. today, at the funeral home.

Mr. Kerr was born in Charlotte, May 3, 1927, a son of the late Julius B. Kerr and Mary Lula Cook Kerr. He retired as Distribution Manager with General Electric after 27 years of service. Mr. Kerr served in the United States Army during World War ll, was a member of V.F.W. Post 1160 and was a member of the former Belmont Park United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Brewer and brothers, Harvey, Leonard, Jake and Edwin Kerr.

Surviving are:sisters, Ruby Kerr of Norfolk, VA and Mary Belle Foard, of Charlotte.
