Obituary for Harvey Kerr:

Harvey C. Kerr, age 62, of 7021 Linda Lake Drive,
Owner and operator of Kerr Dry Cleaning 1207 Parkwood
Ave., died Monday, March 21, 1977 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, from Hickory
Grove Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Raymond Sanderson,
The pastor and the Rev. David Trammell of Sharon Forest Baptist
Church with interment in Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Kerr was born January 24, 1915 in Mecklenburg County,
son of the late Junius B. and Mary Cook Kerr, member of Plaza
Baptist Church, and a member of Home Masonic Lodge number
342 of Ft. Wayne, IN. Surviving are his wife Gladys F. Kerr; two daughters,
Miss Lynn Kerr and Miss Wendy Kerr, both of the home; two sons,
Harvey C. Kerr, Jr. of Charlotte and Thomas H. Kerr of the home; three
sisters, Mrs. Ernest Foard of Charlotte, Mrs. Earl Brewer of Atlanta, GA and
Mrs. Tommy Sinclair of Norfolk, VA; five brothers, Charlie Kerr of Indian Trail,
Leonard, Edwin, Jake and Louis C. Kerr, all of Charlotte. Mr. Kerr
will be taken to the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour. Memorials
may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1928 Randolph Rd. Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 pm Tuesday evening, March 22, at McEwen Funeral Home.
