San Angelo Standard Times, Mar 1900 :
"Little Sallie, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. J. Marberry, died last Wednesday morning, about 2 0'clock, aged 2 years.
The little one had been suffering for some time from bronchial troubles and her death was due to that cause. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, interment in the city cemetery.'
The poignant sorrow that comes to the hearts of parents, when some beloved child is taken, is indeed too deep for expression, and the heartfelt sympathies of friends to these bereaved parents is extended. It is such grief that time alone can allay with its soothing touch, not that the tiny grave in yonder cemetery can ever be forgotten, but the consolation remains that, thought lost from earth, the little one have has been transferred to a better world.
The Standard joins in extending deepest sympathy to the parents in their affliction."
