Mrs. O. C. Wilcox Died in Colorado

Mrs. Myrtle M. Wilcox, 82, former Hedrick resident, died Friday afternoon at the Moffat Nursing Home in Lyons, Colorado.
She had been a patient in the nursing home for a year. She had lived in Hedrick all her life until 1957, when she went to Longmont, Colorado to live with her daughter, Mrs. Raleigh Messerschmitt.
She was born Feb. 9, 1879, in Hedrick, daughter of Alfred and Minnie Hix. She was married Nov. 16, 1898, to Oliver C. Wilcox. He died July 12, 1960.
She was a member of the Hedrick Methodist church, Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors.
Surviving besides Mrs. Messerschmitt are a son, Richard L. Wilcox of Lodi, Calif., a brother, Charles Hix of Martinsburg, a sister, Mrs. William Sonner, St. Joseph, Mo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, five sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Hedrick Methodist church, with Rev. John A. Robinson in charge. Burial was in Brooks cemetery.
