RIVA E. HALL, 78, of Shirley Boulevard, a teacher for 39 years before retiring from the Cranston school system in 1988, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Rolland F. Hall.
Born in Ida, La., a daughter of the late John Richard Preston Allison and the late Ora (Byram) Allison, she lived in Cranston for many years. Mrs. Hall had also been a teacher in Massachusetts and at Moses Brown School in Providence.
She is survived by two daughters, four brothers, two sisters (including her twin sister), and eight grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Richard A. Allison and Jim Lawton.
