Mrs. Clyde (Jimmie) Lawton
BOSSIER, LA - Services for Mrs. Clyde (Jimmie) Lawton, 83, of Lafayette, La. will be held at l p.m. Friday, September 22, 1989 at Airline Baptist Church in Bossier, La. The body will lie in state from 8 a.m. until service time at the Rose- Neath Funeral Home in Bossier. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

She died at 6 a.m. Tuesdav, September 19, 1989 at her residence. She was a native of Ida, La. and a resident of Latayette, La. Mrs. Lawton also lived in Bossier for nearly 40 years. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Bossier Parish School System for 32 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana Normal College in Natchitoches, La. and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, La.

She was preceded in death bv her husband, R. Clyde Lawton, Sr.; one son R. Clyde, Jr.; one brother, R. A. Allison and one grandson, David Lawton.

She is survived bv one daughter, Mrs. James (Barbara) Moncrief of Lafayette, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Roland (Riva) Hall of Cranston, Rhode Island, Mrs. A.C. (Ruth) Foster of Baton Rouge, La., and Dr. Bettv McNeese of Shreveport, La.; four brothers, Dr. Preston Allison of Hammond, La., Dr. Phillip Allison of Memphis, Tenn., and Dr. Gray Allison of Memphis, and Mr. James Allison of Ida, La.; l0 grandchildren, five great grand-chlldren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dewitt Patten, Billy Bickham, J.W. Slack, James Gould, Grover Atkins, Ken Shipp, and Sheryl Lawton.
