MOUNT VERNON, Wash. Robert A. Ashby, 46, of Mount Vernon, and formerly of Caldwell, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1988, in a Mount Vernon hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell. Rev. William Webster will officiate. Cremation is under direction of the Kern Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
Mr. Ashby was born April 25. 1941, at Portland, Ore. He graduated from the College of Idaho, and Baylor University as a physical therapist. He married Carol Marie Fry on Nov. 22, 1978, at Vancouver, Wash. He had been previously employed as a physical therapist at West Valley Medical Center, Caldwell, and since November of 1987, had been a physical therapist at Skagit Valley Hospital and Health Center, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include his wife, Carol of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Shelley Ashby of Seattle; a son, Greg Ashby of Seattle; his mother. F. Marion Ashby of Parma; two brothers, Tom Ashby of Rochester. N.Y., and Jim Ashby of Poole, England; a step-daughter, Kami Hansen of Port Angeles, Wash.; and two aunts.
