James Newton Fisher, 63, died at his home here at 11;05 p.m. Saturday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brown Fisher.

He was born in Augusta County, September 18,1887 the son of the late Jake and Rachael Bell Fisher of Albemarle County.

He was a member of the Church of the Brethern.

He is survived by five Daughters of Waynesboro,Mrs.Lorene Terrell,Mrs.Mary Parr,Mrs. Rachel Norman,Mrs.Bertha Yount, and Mrs.Pauline Talley; one son Arthur Fisher of Waynesboro; two brothers,Jake Fisher of Waynesboro and Roy Fisher of Stuarts Draft; four sisters,Mrs. Dorothy Lawson and Mrs. Lola Cook of Waynesboro,Mrs.Geneva Johnson of Wheeling,W.Va. and Mrs. Mae Goodman of Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at the McDow-Tyree Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Tuesday conducted by the Rev.V.V.Brallier.

Interment will be in the Glen Kirk Chapel Cemetery at a later date.The body will remain at the McDow-Tyree Funeral Home until the hour of the service.

Active pallbearers are J.J.East,Henry Baber,Floyd Carter,Tim Isisli,Cecil Shifflett,Lawerence Shifflett,Harry Yount and Lee Brown.
