Mrs. Rachel Bell Fisher died at her home on North Avenue yesterday afternoon at three-fifty o'clock. She was 82 years of age and is survived by nine children, 32 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Etter Funeral Home on Main Street. Rev. C. E. Brandt will be in charge of the service there and at Riverview cemetery, where interment wil take place.
Survivors include her nine children: Walter, Leroy, Mike, and Jake Fisher, Miss Lowell, Mrs. Dorothy Clawson, and Mrs. Marie Gibson, all of Waynesboro, Mrs. F. J. Johnson, Wheeling, W. Va., and Mrs. Grace Brown, of Richmond. Two sisters, Mrs. Backy Cobs, of Oklahoma, and Miss Lillian Hooks, of McDowell; and three brothers, John Hooks, of California, George Hooks, of McDowell, and Jack Hooks, of White Frost, Va., also survive.
